Alloferon inhibited the herpes simplex virus (HSV) multiplication (Kuczer et al. 2011). Alloferon intranasal or s.c. administration (25 ug) prevented mortality of most animals challenged by influenza A virus (IAV) during the period of 10 days postinfection (provided by Chunfeng Wang). It's not clear whether alloferon 2 is an N-terminus truncated form of alloferon 1. Updated 9/2017; 12/2017.
